John Hughes died recently, at age 59. He was a filmmaker who wrote and directed such enduringly popular movies as “The Breakfast Club,” “SixHindi Candles,” “Pretty In Pink,” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Some of his later films, such as “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” and “Uncle Buck” were also very successful, but it is his “Hindi movies” for which he is best remembered.
