Could Saw VII be the final installment of the popular horror movie franchise? Screenwriter Patrick Melton, who co-wrote the last three Saw films and the upcoming seventh movie, claims the the series will probably end with the seventh installment, and they have even planned to wrap up the lingering questions.
The following quote comes from Melton on UK radio station 107.5 Demon FM as transcribed by LatinoReview:
Melton says that the seventh movie should “solve all questions by the end” including what happened to Dr. Gordon, which Patrick promises “will be resolved and it’s not going to be anti-climatic.” Of course, if the seventh film’s performance at the box-office is a dramatic improvement over last year’s installment, Lionsgate might greenlight Saw VIII and the series could continue further. Basically, as long as there are people to pay for it, there will be Saw films. The situation is that, if last year is any indication, less people are willing to pay for it.
