   Seeking short form film, video, and multimedia work by and about African-Americans. Filmmakers, documentary makers, videographers, and multimedia artists -- we call your attention to Seattle's third annual Langston Hughes African American Film Festival, April 23-30, 2006. Founded in 1972, the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center is the artistic and cultural hub for Seattle's diverse Central District neighborhood. Named after the famed Harlem Renaissance poet, novelist, playwright and essayist, Langston Hughes strives to become one of Seattle's premier performing arts centers. Categories: drama, animation, children's/youth films, lesbian/gay, documentary, and art films & videos about African American life and culture, and topics involving the international African Diaspora. Maximum length: 60 minutes or less. Selected pieces will be shown once during 3 days of scheduled programming. Seeking positive images of Blacks, and content suitable for general audiences, including a special screening of films for children. $50 honorarium paid for works selected.    I have the script, the talent is out there, I need someone with a DV camera Preferably a director or a DP with DV camera, and of course a good crew... The Script--THE WAKE: On Sept 11th 2001...This country came face to face with a devastation like nothing it has ever seen before. Some peoples live changed for ever, for some people... the horror was just the beginning of the rest of their lives. This script is not about Sept. 11th although it does start the story.
